New College Football top 25

The third edition of the college playoff has been released and Alabama has moved up from #5 to #1 within one week. the following top nine are Oregon (9-1), Florida State (10-0), Mississippi State (9-1), TCU (9-1), Ohio State (9-1), Baylor (8-1), Ole Miss (8-2), UCLA (8-2), and Georgia (8-2). 

kentucky

Kentucky made a statement win over Kansas totaling more blocks than kentucky made field goals.  Kentucky also runs a platoon sub wear they sub 5 players in each time.  Now that kentucky has beaten the destroyed the no.5 team how far can they go.

Rising Wings

The Red Wings are currently in the 12th spot. That's pretty good considering the
Chicago Blackhawks are in 15th. The Blackhawks won the cup recently and the San
Jose Sharks are in 14th. The Sharks were moving in between the 1-5 spot which shows they dropped fast and the wings are making there way up slowly but things change fast so we can hope the wings will bring it up towards the playoffs.

Adrian Peterson returns from court

Adrian Exited his trial were he was accused of beating his son with a stick.  and he was relased with no jail time on his record.  he says that eh is happy to be able to get back and put this in the past and move on with his life and with his family.

Patriots and the Surgeon

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots now hold the best record in the AFC with there most recent win being a beat down of the Denver Broncos who hold the second best record.  Will the Patriots be able to keep there 5 game win streak alive when they head into the bye.  After there bye they play Colts, Lions, Packers these three games will be tough.

2nd Week of College Football Playoff Rankings

We're nine weeks into the college football season and so far it's been very exciting. As of now, Mississippi State, Florida State, Auburn, and Oregon would be the four teams in the playoff but there are bug games that are upcoming soon. Mississippi State plays at both Alabama and Ole Miss on the last week of the season. Auburn also has tough games left with trips to Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Athens, Georgia. Florida State and Oregon have the easiest road to the playoff with FSU playing no more ranked teams and Oregon only playing at Utah.

New Teams On Top

The Anaheim ducks are now at the top of the standings for the NHL right now. San Jose which was once in second place is now in 10th. That really shows how much the rankings can change in a few days or weeks. Thats what makes rooting for any team so fun because any team can come out on top in just a few games. There are so many games everyday the teams can fly up and down the rankings.

College football playoff

The College football playoff released the new poll that contains the rankings of teams that will be competing for the chance to play in the new college football playoff.  the top four teams are 1.Mississippi St 2.Florida ST 3.Auburn 4.Ole Miss.

Game 7 of the World Series

The Fall Classic will continue tonight at Kansas City with the Royals trying to win their first World Series since 1985 while the Giants are trying to win their third World Series in five years. Jeremy Guthrie will pitching for the Royals and Tim Hudson will be starting for the Giants.

The End of an Era

12-time pro bowler Champ Bailey has retired at the age of 36, Champ Bailey played 5 seasons with the redskins and 10 with the Denver Broncos.  He will likely be headed to the NFL hall of fame in the next few years.

Ole Miss Falls

Last Saturday  Ole Miss played the rising LSU tigers and lost 10-7.  I said that LSU was going to pull the upset and push ole miss out of the college football playoff.  the game was a very good game for both teams and ole miss blew it when they throw a pick to end the game.

Ohio State

The Buckeyes beat the Nittany Lions Saturday night with a score of 31-24. Ohio State is tied atop the Big Ten with Michigan State who is also undefeated in conference play. Ohio won in a thrilling double overtime, prime time, night game in Happy Valley.

Big Ben and Tom Brady

Tom Brady went 30-35 and 354 yards with 5 TD's.  Big Ben went 40-49 522 yards and 6 TD's.  With these two monster games will they be able to make a run into the playoffs and even a Superbowl?

In The NHL The Tides Change Fast

In the NHL many times a team can go from being the best team in the league to being in the bottom 5. Boston and the Penguins are in the spots 15 & 16 and they both won The Stanley Cup within the past 5 years. NHL is a very crazy sport, you may lose your 3 goal lead in a matter of a minute or two. Thats why any team in the NHL can beat any team in the NHL. Thats why there is still reason to cheer for your team even if you think they will lose. Thats what makes hockey a very fun game becuase the score can flip.

Red Wings Moving Up The Rankings?

The Red Wings started off slow but are slowly moving up the rankings. The Wings were 11th Monday. They now sit in the 10th spot which means at this rate they can rise up and maybe be a good team or be able to compete with the higher end teams. Anaheim took the number 1 spot from Montreal, after a few days those two teams have been resting nicely on the top. It will be fun to see where those teams end up this year in the playoffs.

Royals tie Series at 1-1

Kansas City has tied the World Series at 1-1 with last night's 7-2 win at home. Yordano Ventura pitched 5.1 innings and only let up 2 runs in his first World Series start. The 23 year old did give up 8 hits, but his defense helped him get out of jams. 2nd baseman Omar Infante also had a great game going 2-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Kurt Busch and Danica Patrick

Kurt Busch and Danica Patrick are switching road crews and crew chiefs, but this seems to be a good thing for Kurt but not for Danica.  I wonder how this will pan out heading into the the final stages of the Sprint cup.

NCAA College Football Playoff

The new College Football playoff takes affect this year and the rankings will be released in the next week.  the playoff will be containing four teams that will play in a bowl game. The victors of the bowl game will play in the new College playoff championship game.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona cardinals are now a full game ahead in there division, and with defending champs Seattle and SanFransisco in the division will Arizona be able to keep up the work and win the division.

Auburn vs. Ole Miss next year

#5 Auburn has to travel to Oxford, Mississippi next week and face off against #3 Ole Miss. After getting beat by Mississippi State a couple weeks ago, Auburn looks to get revenge against another SEC rival. Ole Miss will be looking to prove that they're legitimate contenders for the College Football Playoff.

Which NHL Teams Are Doing The Best?

A lot of teams that weren't doing well on the standings brought it up a notch and shot up higher on the list. The Red Wings picked it up a bit and is in 11th place with 3 wins and 1 loss. the top three teams are 1. Anaheim Ducks 2. Montreal Canadians 3. Los Angeles Kings. Nashville Predators hasn't gotten a loss but they only have 3 wins so they aren't higher up in the rankings. More games will help us gather more data on the better teams this year.

End Of Brady Hoke

This mow looks as if Brady Hoke can do nothing to save his position as the Michigan head coach.  Dave Brandon also may be leaving Michigan because of how he has been handling this situation.  Michigan as looking at the Two Harbaugh brothers to become the next headcoach at the university.

2014 World Series

San Francisco is yet again in the World Series for the third time in five years and they're facing against the Kansas City Royals. The Royals are in the World Series for the first time since 1985 and are on an eight game win streak. No team has ever been 8-0 in the postseason and the Royals are looking to become the first team to go 12-0 in the postseason.

Kansas City Royals Sweep?

The Kansas City Royals are now undefeated in the playoffs and have a 3-0 series lead against the Baltimore Orioles who are the number overall seed in the 2014 playoffs.  Will the Royals be able to sweep the entire 2014 playoffs and the world series?

Notre Dame @ Florida State

#5 Notre Dame has to go into Tallahassee against #2 Florida State this Saturday at prime-time. Both teams are undefeated while Florida State has won the past 22 games. Countering this, Notre Dame has won the past 16/17 games with their starting quarterback. This will be the game of the week and will hopefully be a very exciting game.

Devils Going to Be Good This Year?

The New Jersey Devils are currently leading the League in the Preseason. That is a big step in the right direction, The Devils weren't doing very well last year and now they have either gotten a better goalie, or they got some decent rookies. The Devils are right ahead of the Sharks. the Sharks are a better team when it comes down to the stats and facts, So will the Devils have a shot at the Cup this year?

Kansas City Going All The Way?

The Royals This postseason haven't lost this post reason, and don't look like they will stop there.  The Royals went into the postseason as the wild card and beat the Angels and are now 2-0 over the Baltimore Orioles and i think with alot of people think they will win the who thing.
  

Mississippi State

After big wins against #8 LSU, #6 Texas A&M, and #2 Auburn, Mississippi State has moved up to #1 in the polls. This is the first time in school history that MSU has been ranked #1 in school history and is a huge accomplishment. It'll be hard for them to continue the undefeated season thiugh, with games at #7 Alabama, and #3 Ole Miss.

Cowboys Best Team?

The Dallas Cowboys started the season 0-1 but have made been on a roll and have won there past 5 games.  Recently there biggest statement win was against the defending champs Seattle Seahawks.  Demarco Murray had his 6th straight hundred yard rushing game tying Jim Brown.  And they wouldn't have won without Tony Romo's 3rd and 20 pass to Terrance Williams. 

Red Wings Falling Behind?

The Red Wings are currently in 15th out of 30 teams with a record of 1-1-0. that is not very good but the season just started so 1 loss can devastate your lead. The Red Wings have picked up some really good rookies, but that means that there probably isn't the best team chemistry on their bench. It takes a few years to get a very controlled team that knows what they need to do to get a win against certain teams. We will have to wait and see more games to determine how good they are.

Are Mississippi and Mississippi State Becoming Elite Football Teams?

Not that Mississippi and Mississippi State are number 3 and 4 in the country are the ready to make the next step and become the powerhouse football teams of modern day football, Mississippi came off a win against number 1 Alabama and Mississippi State came off a win against number 6 Texas A&M.

Arizona Football

Is Arizona legit, or are they just a fluke? They are 5-0 so far with wins at Oregon, UTSA, and home wins against UNLV, Nevada, and California. After an 4-8 in Rich Rodriguez's first season, the Wildcats have improved to 8-5 their last two seasons. With tough teams such as USC and UCLA still on this years schedule, it might be hard for Arizona to continue their undefeated season but they've proved they can be competitive with a strong win at Oregon.

Scores Last Night

Last night there were a few games, San Jose surprised Everyone with a 4-0 win against the current NHL Champions! no one really expected that and that really shows how much the San Jose Sharks have progressed over the summer. San Jose might be the team to win it this year which would shock everyone.

How Will The Red Wings Do This Year?

The Red Wings have a few new players that can help them get better and have good chemistry, we need the Pre-Season to start to really decide whether or not The Red Wings will be good this year. Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg are ready to play and thats always good because they are the best 2 man team in the NHL.

Derrick Green Out For Season

The Michigan Wolverines running back Derrick Green is out for the season with a broken clavicle.  Green is a huge loss for the wolverines, he was the leading rusher with 82 carries and 471 yards rushing and the other two backs Deveon Smith and Justice Hayes combined for just 33 carries and 383 yards rushing.  So How will Michigan play without there star running back.

Tigers Continue to fall late in Innings

The Tigers have fallen yet again in late innings with their bullpen choking in the postseason like usual. For the past two years, the bullpen has given up multiple games. Last year, Joaquin Benoit gave up home runs in back to back game against the Red Sox. This year the bullpen gave up eight runs in one inning, and the next game, gave up four runs in the eight inning to lose the game.

Tigers Continue to Struggle in Late Innings

The Tigers have lost yet another game in the 7th inning or later. Down 4-3 in the 8th inning, Detroit was still in the game last night vs. the Orioles. The Tigers brought in Chamberlain, Soria, and Coke in the 8th and they combined to give up eight runs to lead to a 3-12 Tigers loss.

Oregon Falls

Last night the Oregon ducks fell to unranked Arizona 31-24.  Now that Oregon has lost there first game will they be able to make the college football playoffs which consists of the 4 best teams in college football.  And now that Arizona has won a huge game how big of a chance do they have to make it to the playoffs?

NHL Prospects Tournament

Currently all the NHL players that were drafted this year are competing in a Prospects Tournament to see which team has the best young players. They have done this Tournament for a little while now and it does help show what superior young players there are. This tournament is taken place in Traverse City.

PAC-12 Comeback

PAC-12 is making its comeback with 5 teams in the top 25 and the number 2 team in the nation.  Many upsets this season have been made.  Now with college football playoffs comeing into play the pac-12 is expecting to have 1 maybe even 2 teams in the playoff.

Tigers walk-off in 9th

After losing a 3-0 9th innings lead, the Detroit Tigers entered the bottom of the inning tied 3-3. With men on 1st and 2nd, Miguel Cabrera came out to help the Tigers maintain the American League Central division lead. On the first pitch, Cabrera hit a single between shortstop and 3rd to score Kinsler from 2nd. Detroit now has a one game lead over Kansas City.

The Fall of The Big Ten

Lately the Big Ten programs have started to fall.  The Big Ten has a overall record of 36-15 and last year there record was better. teams that have gotten worst are The Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State as gotten so much worst after there great past two seasons with only one lose.  The Wolverines lost to Utah and Ohio State lost to Virginia .
 

Brady Hoke to end his Michigan run?

There is a lot of controversy revolving Brady Hoke and the losing Michigan Wolverines, he is not wearing headphones, and is not calling the plays.  Michigan fans want Brady Hoke out of the university.  Each year that he has been a head coach at Michigan his record has gone down, so is this the last year for Brady Hoke?

Rise of the SEC

Over the past eight years, the South Eastern Conference has really done well in football. Winning all of the National Championships from 06-12 and barely losing in 2013, the SEC has developed into the best conference in college football. They already have eight teams out of the top 18 teams in the whole country this year and it's a great possibility that more than one team from the SEC makes the college football playoff this year.

Brett Burns moved back to Defense

Brett Burns player for the San Jose Sharks is ok with being moved back to Defense. Burns played Forward for the Sharks for the past year."I feel confident I could get 30 goals playing forward, but I also love the challenge of playing D and playing more than 20 minutes a game," Said Burns to a Website.  Burns had 22 goals and 26 assists in 69 games.

West Virginia Corner back Arrested For Battery

West Virginia corner  back Daryl Worley  was accused of  battery because he garbed a woman by the throat and throwing her to the ground. it happened at a night club after there win against Maryland that Sunday. The Coach said he will be suspended  but the amount of games is unkown. the corner back is west Virginia's best defensive player with 17 tackles and two interceptions.    

Canucks Better This Year?

The Vancouver Canucks have not had the best seasons lately and they have recently picked up Blues Goaltender Ryan Miller. Now Miller is one of the best Goaltenders in the NHL so does this mean that The Canucks can pick it up and maybe get close to The Stanley Cup? The Canucks new Coach and Players so they might be able to pull something off this year.

Roger Goodell is Not stepping up to Domestic Violence

This past week in the NFL has not been a good week, infact it has been arguably the worst in NFL history.  Players like Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, Adrian Peterson and Ray McDonald have all been charged with domestic violence and only 2 of them have been suspended.  So people are turning to Roger Goddell to make it better, but it seems that Roger Goodell is drifting away from this problem and people are questioning the leadership of Roger Goodell.

Jamies Winston Suspended for First Half vs. Clemson

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has been suspended for yet another incident. The former Heisman winner was suspended for yelling something "vulgar and offensive" Previously, he was suspended for stealing crab legs and sexual assault. Clemson will try and take advantage of this in the first half of their game this weekend.

Angels First Team to Clinch 2014 Postseason

On Monday night the Angels became the first team to clinch their division with a 8-1 win over the Seattle.  They now have the best record in baseball at this moment (94-56).  They are now the favorite to win the World Series.  the Angels are led by the young and very talented Mike Trout.  Do You think the Las Angeles  Angles will win the World Series.

Is Pavel Datsyuk Retiring Soon?

          Pavel Datsyuk is known for his crazy dangles and shootout goals, but are his years coming to an end? Pavel Datsyuk is currently 36, but he is still a very skilled and talented play, But the is the possibility that he may be retiring soon and that could be very bad news for the Detroit Red Wings. Despite his age he still is one of the most talented players in the league, but it is unsure when he will retire. Datsyuk has been playing in the NHL for around 15 years. We all hope he doesn't retire soon, but it is still a possibility.

Greg Hardy has not yet been charged with Domestic violence

Greg Hardy who was charged with domestic violence against his then fiancee, has not yet been charged.  Because he hasn't been charged, he is allowed  to play in game but the Carolina Panthers deactivated him for the week 2 game against the Detroit Lions.  The Carolina Panthers are still debating and waiting for information before the activate him for the week 3 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Adrian Peterson Accused of his Second Child-Abuse Incident

According to Peterson, he was disciplining his son for cussing at a sibling, but the scars that were revealed later would show that he went a little over the top. It was found out that Peterson used a switch to spank his son who also hit his head on a car seat while being punished. Adrian's son also suffered  from Peterson whipping him with a belt multiple times. His first court date is October, 8th and the future for Peterson in the NFL is uncertain.
